Review: Club Manila East

The GOOD

• One of the closest resorts if not the closest to the metro
  
• Relatively inexpensive entrance fee and accommodations, you get value for your money

• They have different kinds of pools: two wave pools - their main attraction,
  a lap pool - for serious swimmers, a covered pool - for those who don't
  want to be scorched to much, a pool dedicated for kayaking and several
  children pools
  

• They have a Jollibee and a Chowking booth in the food court which means
  filling your stomach wouldn't be too expensive. They have packed
  lunches and offer various grill dishes at fair prices.

The GOOD

• The resort has a very nice infinity pool filled with flowing fresh water
  

• The white sand beach is also nice
  

• Each room contains a 34" LCD TV which you usually only see at 5 star hotels
  

The BAD

• they charge the highest rate for a nights stay from all the resorts in the same area
  
• the rooms are quite small
  
• the bathrooms, even smaller
• no queen sized bed for the 2-person room
• no hair blower
• the dimmer for the lights doesn't work, at least for the room we got
  
• the resort had wifi available but no internet, their provider may have had problems
  
• food can not be served in the rooms, you can order but you have to eat in the dining area
  
• lunch buffet is nothing special for the price
• beach is not for swimming, the waves are too rough and it becomes deep really quickly
  
• the beach smells bad, something similar to drainage
• no beachside volleyball unlike the other resorts beside it

How to get here?
Coming from Tagaytay, we took the steep road going down to Talisay. From Talisay, we proceeded to the nearest STAR tollway entrance and took this expressway to Lipa. Then we followed this map to get to Laiya, San Juan:


How much did it cost?

• Lunch buffet was PHP 500.00 per person
• An infinity room good for 2 persons costs PHP 5,000.00
• Dinner consisting of 2 viands comes to around PHP 600.00
